Bermudian models to take part in London Fashion Week

Four Bermudian beauties will grace the runway at one of the world’s premier fashion events this weekend, when London Fashion Week features the Island’s own Deandra Brangman.

Local models Julia Lines, Joann Nichols and Katherine Arnfield will also strut their stuff at the eagerly-anticipated event, which kicks off Friday night.

They were among those shortlisted for next year’s Top Model Worldwide the international contest won earlier this year by Ms Brangman after talent scouts came to Bermuda over the summer.

Ms Brangman will have her mother Sandra and brother Deon among the audience of thousands when she takes to the catwalk again this weekend.

“Deandra winning has opened up the door for so many Bermudians,” said proud father Raymond Ming.

“She’s had tremendous support from Bermuda, with lots of phone calls and a wonderful outpouring from people. It’s a blessing I don’t have words to express it.”

Ms Lines, Ms Nichols and Ms Arnfield made next year’s list for Top Model Worldwide at the ‘Evolution’ fashion show this July in Hamilton.

They were selected along with models Janae Niklaus, Sophie Fraser-Smith, Kalena Astwood, Danielle Smith, Sara Fitzsimmons, Carolita Joseph, Khianda Pearman-Watson, Jenique Dubois, Melissa Spurling and Sierra Reid.
